Claretian News

Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. launched its newest title MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD:  A Catechism on the Veneration of the Saints and Their Relics by Dave Ceasar Dela Cruz last April 2, 2013 at the Blessed John Paul II Parish (Holy Family Chapel) at Eastwood City.

The event was made even more meaningful with the celebration of the Eucharist commemorating the death anniversary of Blessed John Paul II and the display of his relics.

Author Dave Ceasar Dela Cruz presents his research on the Saints and their relics that has resulted in this handbook of information suited for Catholics and non-Catholics of all ages. More Precious Than Gold explains the Communion of Saints, what is a Saint, what are relics, what is the process of canonization, as well as liturgical celebrations and devotions. Utilizing Sacred Scriptures, ancient and modern Traditions, Church Teachings and the Liturgy, he offers remarkable answers in the field of Hagiography, the study of Saints.

The author is a professional licensed teacher and a mandated catechist. He studied the Sacred Liturgy at the Paul VI Institute of Liturgy specializing in relics of the Saints and the liturgy. He completed his post-graduate studies at the Graduate School of Liturgy at San Beda College, Manila. Currently, he works as the vice postulator for the Cause for Canonization of Blessed Ivan Merz.
